Out of this less than 32 percent have any sort of web presence, and a large number of small businesses don’t understand why they need to be online.
Many of the business failure is due to the lack of proper business knowledge. Adapting new technology is one of the success factor for any business.
But many of the business owners are unaware of this. Today anybody can become an entrepreneur with right tools and skills to digitalize.
With ‘Digital Unlocked’ a program launched by Google, all kind of businesses will be able to feel the power of going digital.
Google launched this program especially for small medium business not only to understand the benefits of going digital but also to generate income from this.
This program is built across different formats of online, offline and mobile.
In online training the course comprises a set of 90 video tutorials, made specifically for India, which will be available free.
It covers topics such as building a web presence and driving online growth to reaching customers over mobile and video.
While talking about the offline training, Google has partnered with Federation of India for Commerce Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).
The offline training will be conducted over the next three years, 5,000 workshops will be held across 40 Indian cities.
Google also has its offline centers in Chandigarh, Haridwar, Jaipur and Bhuvneshwar, Jalandhar etc. Here it will offer eight-hour sessions to SMBs.
The trainings are certified by Google, Indian School of Business and FICCI.
For mobile users Google launched an App named Primer. This free mobile app is designed to teach digital marketing skills to small and medium businesses in an easy, quick and interactive way.
This is available for both android and ios users. What makes this app so special is that it’s available in both English and Hindi and it also works offline.
Currently, 23 topics based on Digital Marketing is included. Google has said that it will keep on adding new topics as required.
Digital Unlocked is part of Google’s larger effort to increase its presence in one of the world’s largest e-commerce markets.
